Chandler Reed, PMHNP-BC, FNP-BC — Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner at Whole Mind Psychiatry

Chandler Reed - PMPNP-BC

Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner

Chandler Reed is a board-certified Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and Family Nurse Practitioner at Whole Mind. He brings compassion, curiosity, and a deeply human perspective to every patient encounter. His diverse clinical experience spans inpatient and outpatient psychiatry, pediatric mental health, addiction medicine, medication-assisted treatment (MAT) clinics, urgent care, and primary care. Chandler also has hands-on experience with advanced psychiatric interventions including Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS), ketamine therapy, and Electroconvulsive Therapy (ECT)—allowing him to approach mental health care with both flexibility and insight.

Clients often describe Chandler as a thoughtful listener and teacher—someone who makes them feel genuinely seen and supported. His therapeutic approach is nonjudgmental and grounded in evidence-based modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). At the heart of his philosophy is the belief that the body and mind are deeply interconnected, influencing one another in the process of healing.

Chandler was drawn to nursing because it gave him the opportunity to connect with people beyond their diagnoses—to understand the full picture of each person’s life and well-being. He takes time to learn his patients’ stories and crafts treatment plans that consider their emotional, physical, relational, spiritual, and cognitive health.

His passion for mental health is deeply personal. After losing an uncle to suicide and witnessing others in his family find long-term recovery, Chandler developed a profound commitment to helping others rewrite their stories and rediscover hope. He is particularly attuned to supporting individuals navigating faith transitions, religious trauma, and identity-related challenges, including those from high-demand religious backgrounds and members of the LGBTQ+ community.

Outside of clinical work, Chandler enjoys being outdoors—running, mountain biking, and gardening. He has a lifelong love for music and considers himself an audiophile, inspired by his mother and grandmother, both piano teachers. He also enjoys reading about psychology, spirituality, and personal growth, and cherishes quiet, meaningful moments with his family.

Chandler’s guiding philosophy can be captured in one line:

“Wholeness is not perfection, but the quiet grace of being unfinished, complete, and changing all at once.”

If you’re looking for a space to explore, grow, and heal at your own pace, Chandler is honored to walk with you on that journey.
