TMS Therapy
At Whole Mind we offer NeuroStar which utilizes transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) to target critical areas of the brain that display reduced activity in individuals with depression, setting it apart from electroconvulsive therapy (ECT). Although the exact cause of depression is uncertain, the primary scientific theory is that it results from an imbalance of neurotransmitters in the brain. These chemical messengers transmit signals between brain cells.
For individuals who have not attained relief from antidepressants, NeuroStar provides a safe and proven alternative treatment for depression, free from medication side effects. To date, over 4.8 million NeuroStar Advanced TMS treatments have been administered to more than 134,000 patients.

Spravato
