Meet Whole Mind

Whole Mind began with a simple but urgent mission: to make high-quality, evidence-based mental health care accessible to individuals and families who need it most. After years of working closely with patients facing serious mental illness, our founder, Dr. Thomas Rayner, recognized a critical gap in Utah—too many people were struggling to find comprehensive psychiatric care in one place. He envisioned a clinic where patients could receive thoughtful, whole-person treatment without barriers, long wait times, or fragmented services.

What started as a single location has grown into a network of clinics across multiple states, serving patients through every stage of life. Today, Whole Mind offers a full spectrum of services, including TMS and Spravato for treatment-resistant depression, medication management, talk therapy, EMDR, family counseling, and child and adolescent psychiatry. Our approach blends advanced, research-backed treatments with compassionate care that prioritizes comfort, clarity, and long-term healing. We don’t just treat symptoms—we work to uncover root causes and support lasting wellness.

At our core, Whole Mind is built on values of accessibility, affordability, and patient-first care. We are proud to be insurance-friendly and family-centered, ensuring that mental health support is realistic, approachable, and sustainable for the people we serve. Every care plan is personalized, collaborative, and designed around each patient’s unique needs and goals.

Trevor Osborn
"I have referred people to Whole Mind on numerous occasions because of their dedication to their patients' health. It is difficult to find psychiatrists that are willing to treat the whole person and work with them where they are. Dr. Rayner takes this approach. He is professional, knowledgeable, and caring."
Karisha Allred
"I am super impressed with Anne. She is very professional, knowledgeable, compassionate, and non judgmental. Which is important when you are already struggling with the stigma behind mental health issues. "
Julia Kirk
"Whole Mind is amazing. Dr Rayner is genuine and cares about his patients. I was severely depressed and because of this practice and the TMS they offer I am happier and more at peace with my self than I ever have been. Thank you Whole Mind!"
Dakota K
"I highly reccomend Whole Mind! Originally I saw Dr. Tom Rayner, he was extremely kind and knowledgeable. I am currently being treated by Dr. Jenn Karr she is also very knowledgeable and kind. She has really listened to my concerns about my vertigo and insomnia.."
Brenda MRS
"Dr Rayner and staff are amazing!!! You feel like a family member. You don't feel like another patient, if you need Dr Rayner, he is there 100000%!!! I'll keep recommending them to all my family and friends. If I could give a thousand stars, I would. Thank you so much Dr Rayner!!! I can not thank all of you enough for everything. Hands down the best psychiatrist ever! Megan is amazing!!!!"
Jaimie Douglas
"This was my first experience with a Ketamine treatment outside of an inpatient hospital setting, and after having a horrible experience the time before, I was terrified to try anything remotely sounding similar. The providers at Whole Mind were absolutely wonderful in explaining how the medication would be administered, how it differentiates from my prior treatment, and what to expect."

His therapeutic approach is nonjudgmental and grounded in evidence-based modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). At the heart of his philosophy is the belief that the body and mind are deeply interconnected, influencing one another in the process of healing.

Chandler was drawn to nursing because it gave him the opportunity to connect with people beyond their diagnoses—to understand the full picture of each person’s life and well-being. He takes time to learn his patients’ stories and crafts treatment plans that consider their emotional, physical, relational, spiritual, and cognitive health.

His passion for mental health is deeply personal. After losing an uncle to suicide and witnessing others in his family find long-term recovery, Chandler developed a profound commitment to helping others rewrite their stories and rediscover hope. He is particularly attuned to supporting individuals navigating faith transitions, religious trauma, and identity-related challenges, including those from high-demand religious backgrounds and members of the LGBTQ+ community.

Outside of clinical work, Chandler enjoys being outdoors—running, mountain biking, and gardening. Anne’s path to psychiatry was deeply personal. After witnessing the life-changing impact that proper treatment had on her spouse and child with ADHD, she was inspired to dedicate her career to helping others find the same transformation. Her patients often share that she is the first provider who truly understands their struggles and is genuinely invested in their success.

Anne offers a collaborative partnership in treatment where patients feel heard, understood, and empowered. She views each patient as a resilient explorer on their journey, providing the tools for growth through medication management and tailored therapeutic techniques. Education is central to her approach—she helps patients understand how the brain and medications interact, enabling them to take an active role in their healing.

She believes that understanding and embracing ourselves is one of life’s most transformative gifts. She encourages her patients to pair their treatment goals with self-acceptance, helping them redirect the impossible drive for perfectionism toward genuine self-compassion and progress.

Anne is deeply committed to walking alongside her patients every step of the way—helping them overcome obstacles, recognize their inner strength, and celebrate meaningful growth on their journey to mental wellness.
