Gabriel Heaton is a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with a deep-rooted commitment to holistic and compassionate mental health care. With advanced training from Western Governors University and a nursing foundation built at the University of Utah and Salt Lake Community College, Gabriel brings a thoughtful, evidence-based approach to psychiatric treatment across a wide range of mental health conditions.
He has extensive clinical experience in inpatient psychiatry, crisis intervention, and psychopharmacology, and specializes in the treatment of depression, anxiety, PTSD, ADHD, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, and substance use disorders. Gabriel is known for his calm presence, clinical insight, and ability to meet patients wherever they are in their healing journey.
His practice integrates cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), trauma-informed care, and person-centered therapy with a focus on comprehensive medication management. Grounded in both clinical rigor and spiritual sensitivity, Gabriel works primarily with adults and older adults, and is particularly passionate about addressing the unique needs of men’s mental health.

Mandi Spens is a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner at Whole Mind, where she provides compassionate and comprehensive care to individuals seeking balance and healing in their mental health. She takes a holistic and collaborative approach, integrating biological, psychological, and lifestyle factors to help her patients build resilience and regain a sense of wholeness.

Mandi began her career in healthcare through nursing and dentistry, giving her a deep understanding of the human experience from multiple perspectives. Since becoming a psychiatric nurse practitioner in 2021, she has specialized in the treatment of mood, anxiety, and attention disorders, as well as substance, alcohol, and opioid use disorders. Her clinical expertise spans medication management, ADHD, anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, eating disorders, grief, and chronic pain.

Throughout her career, Mandi has partnered with a variety of rural agencies to meet the needs of underserved communities. She is deeply committed to empowering her patients through education, empathy, and evidence-based care—helping them navigate challenges with clarity and confidence.

Outside of work, Mandi values meaningful time with loved ones and enjoys giving back to her community. She is passionate about continuous learning and about helping each patient discover their own capacity for healing and growth.
