Dr. Joe Reistetter is a board certified adult psychiatrist who practices with a special emphasis in interventional psychiatry. Using newer tools like Spravato (ketamine) and transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS), he helps patients with treatment resistant depression who have not responded to antidepressants and therapy. He also has experience in using a wide array of treatments to create comprehensive plans for depression, anxiety, PTSD, and OCD that holistically address all of the factors that come together to create good mental health. Most importantly, his goal is to listen to his patients and create a trusting, supportive environment.
Dr. Reistetter is originally from western New York, and came to Utah to complete his psychiatric training in adult psychiatry residency program at the University of Utah after graduating from medical school in Portland, Oregon at the Oregon Health & Science University (OHSU). Prior to medical school, he completed a M.S. in Biomedical Informatics at OHSU.
In his free time he likes to trail run, mountain bike, splitboard, and garden.
